What began as a solo run I planned around a local park across the street from my apartment, became so much more. In the end, I gathered the local running community and raised money to benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

Masumi's 24hr CAF Run
May 25-26th 2013
After dealing with some of life’s struggles the latter half of 2014, I could think of know better way to find peace than a 120+ mile trek from Savannah GA to Charleston SC via the rural lowcountry roads. Purchassing an Amtrak one-way to Savannah GA, with no way back but to run.
The run would begin with torrential downpours and flash flooding through the first 8 hours. Then near freezing temps overnight down lonely foggy rural roads with endless drizzle of light rain.

Savannah GA to Charleston SC Xmas Eve/Xmas Day Run
December 24-25th 2014
A solo run that I had I had begun planning just before the summer of 2015. A half-mile loop for 72hrs that would go on to benefit the American Cancer Society and Road Warriors Corp 501c. A humbling experience in which the entire running communtiy came together, supported, volunteered, and ran.
Many local and national companies came through to sponsor the event including Half Moon Outfitters, Tailwind Nutrition, Dirtbag Runners, and Luna Sandals.
